Awww... this is perfect! I especially like the way you used different shades of blue to give some depth to the panels of the Tardis door... and I love the little border of marching Daleks!

Thank you!  I understand all the french knots are a pain, but I think it's worth it.  ;)

Lol!  Yes, I'm not a huge fan of the french knot either, but thought it would look cute on the little guys so I bit the bullet and french knotted.  Can't tell you how many times I had to start over on the little buggers.

I'm getting to be more and more okay with them the more I practice. I've heard of people using beads instead of French knots, but I've never used beads before, so I dunno if that would be easier or not. The worst part of French knots are when you think you've got it, and it just slips right through. Ugh...

I know!  That's the most frustrating part.  That and when the knot is too lose and have 1 piece of it sticking out.  Trying to un-knot and redo is almost impossible.  >_<  I haven't even thought about using beads!  I guess if the beads are small enough it could work.  That's a great idea though!

I wonder if it's possible to use seed beads? I know those are pretty small, though it's hard to tell if they would work or not. A higher count of cloth would make it easier to use beads, methinks.

Oh the possibilities.

Sure!  It's all about the proportions, if you use a larger count aida then a seed bead could work.  Or if you can find smaller seed beads.  Have fun!
