It's actually just layers of wool felt with wires in them painted with fabric paint. I like using wool felt instead of the normal craft felt since it doesn't fall apart as easily. :)

Were you terrified when it came time to do that tats? That's the part that alwaya scares me the worst- painting. When I used to hand paint all my faces, I would get so sick to my stomach when it came time, because once that brush hits the fabric, it's all over ;)

Is his hair minky or velour? I can't tell.

I tested the paint a lot on spare fabric to make sure I can make the lines crisp and not smudge everywhere. Yes, I was really afraid I would mess up big time. ^^;

The hair is minky, I love that fabric. But it sheds like crazy right after I cut it. It's so soft though... :)

I'm going to have to suck it up and order some minky on line. The only kind available around here is that horrible wavy kind..and zebra print?!?
I might hold off on my Reno plushie till i get some..
